[Inscribed in the face of monument]
This monument honors the past, present and future surfers at
Nantasket Beach who have
embraced its beach, surf and camaraderie.
Since the early beginnings of surfing at this beach, circa 1961, surfers
have shared their time, skill and wisdom with all who have been
interested in receiving them.
Great surfers and fine men and women
have grown up within the Nantasket Beach Surfing culture and carry
the positive traits learned
here into their own lives as well as to those
of the people around them.

Inscribed Bricks
A floor of individually inscribed bricks
sold for a fee will fund the
project with
all proceeds going to monument production and
long term maintenance. |
